Why “Midad”?
In our language, midad is the ink one writes with; midad is what leaves its mark on paper, and we create that same mark in the digital world. We chose this name because it carries our whole promise: a calligrapher only dips his pen when he knows what he will write, because ink cannot be erased.
And “code” is our instrument in this age. Hence the equation: the precision of ink, in the language of code.
We never add an element because “everyone does.” Everything you see in our work has been asked, at least once: why are you here?
We review the space between two letters the way a calligrapher checks the angle of his reed. The details are the foundation.
